Case 2. USA / Head lice infestation of 6-7 years finally eradicated!

"I live in the US have two children, and custody of four other children who have had problems with head lice for the last 6 or 7 years. We have tried the Rid, Nix, Olive oil treatment, mayonnaise treatment, everything we can find. We have treated them and in a couple of weeks they have the lice again. We clean the carpets, shampoo the mattresses, wash all clothes, and bed linen, vacuum the furniture and vehicles. The school and health officials tell us to treat the children, make sure that there are no nits at all, and to wash in hot water all clothing, linens, and spray all the furniture with the special spray, bag up all stuffed animals and toys that can't washed. "Dear Nanda, I've got a feeling that you may have been focusing your efforts in the wrong direction! Important: Forget the carpets, mattresses, furniture, vehicles, etc. Save your energy for treating head lice on the HEAD. First thing to do. Use a fine tooth comb (cheapest will do) to do a "detection combing" to detect live moving lice. Do it in good light, perhaps sunlight. I would like to know how many of you have live crawling lice. When we comb through we can find four or five in the boys and sometimes one or two and at other times more in the little girls.
