Ketorac Pty Ltd is an emerging pharmaceutical company which specializes in consumer health care. Its multidisciplinary staff have backgrounds in health education, veterinary medicines, functional foods, and therapeutic goods based on botanical and other natural products.

Its chief operating officer, John Borushek, is a registered pharmacist with extensive experience in product research and development, statutory compliance and in manufacturing plant-based medicines. One of his specialty areas is the prevention and treatment of ectoparasites including head lice in humans, and lice in domestic animals.

Birth of of new headlice treatment
The Ketorac Company's involvement in head lice treatment started in 1999 when John Borushek developed and clinically studied a new plant-based cream lotion in response to widespread reports of failures of available treatments. The product was later trademarked "Electric Blue".

First sold in pharmacies throughout the Armadale region, it became the treatment of choice in long-term head lice in children throughout Western Australia. Following a successful nationwide launch into pharmacies, one of the first consumer tests on Electric Blue conducted by independent journalists in May 2000 achieved "100% success".
